    GITTA 2013 provided a great networking opportunity for industry experts and stakeholders to reinforce relationships with partners entertain clients and also reward staff with outstanding performance.

    Nominees increased in number as the categories of awards also increased:

    • Maine one Cable,
    • Zipnet and other service providers got nominated along sides the Telcos..
    The third awards in the series was characterised by a lot of entertainment as Ghana’s leading Hip Hop artiste, Sarkodie, the then Samsung ambassador, treated industry experts to an amazing performance as they celebrated their various awards. And in their usual manner, Vodafone won the highest number of awards that memorable night.

    The 2nd Ghana Information Technology & Telecom Awards exclusively celebrated the achievements of investors and individuals in Ghana’s Telecoms & ICT space

    Nominee included:
    • Nominees such as  MTN, Vodafone, Airtel,
    • ATC Ghana were distinguished for their outstanding innovations and contributions in the industry over the year.
    Vodafone stole the moment with an unprecedented six awards; out of a total 17 competitive awards; with their CEO Kyle Whitehill, winning the Telecom CEO of the year. The remaining awards went to other telcos and service providers in the industry

    In 2014, the awards grew bigger, richer and interesting. In our quest to promote gender equality in ICT, the Woman ICT of the year was introduced, to encourage and reward leading and successful women in the ICT industry.

    Nominees included:
    • Hello Foods EsokoMobile, Nkyea Twi Phrasebook and Tonaton.com were added to the previous list of nominees.
    • There were awards in 38 categories, including new categories under Retail, Telecoms, Financial Services, Apps and Cloud services.
    Phillips Sowah, former Airtel Ghana CEO and the first winner of the coveted telecom CEO award, for a second time won the 2014 telecom CEO of the year awards; what an accolade to a deserving hardworking man.
